{Real Parties}: Lilly Pulitzer Baby Shower

I have to brag on some of my dearest girlfriends....
In the words of our friend Julie, "Meredith has a black-belt in party-planning."
I often say that if we lived close to each other, that there would be serious party ass-kicking going on between the two of us.
Meredith and Julie and I go way back, to elementary school in fact. And both of them have actually thrown me showers in the past. You may also remember Meredith as being the Mommy from the Feather Her Nest Sip n' See.
Meredith and Julie threw this pink and green turtle themed baby shower for their college roomate and sorority sister, respectively, this weekend.
Since Tamara and Julie were members of the Delta Zeta sorority in college, they decided on a pink, green, and turtle theme. Serendipitously, Lilly Pulitzer does a print called "Desert Torte" which looks as if it was made for DZs!
Here are our lovely hostesses, Julie and Meredith, and the guest of honor, Tamara.

Julie is a super-talented graphic designer, so she did all the graphics for the menu cards, etc.
The banner was made from Lilly Pulitzer wrapping paper. Genius!
The favors were the stadium cups from this pattern.

Each guest took one home.
Meredith always considers the little details, like covering this canvas, that is already in her home, with wrapping paper to match the theme.
She also handmade these turtle pops from melting candies. Hello GORGEOUS!
I also love her use of the little pails of baby's breath. It makes the table look so fresh and summery.
Could you die over this cake? Meredith bought several of those turtles at Michael's and then painted them to match the theme. ADORABLE.
Her amazing backdrop was made from construction insulation, bought at Home Depot. Her sweet husband had it sitting on his head on the ride home! It was already pink (nice!), and she added that gorgeous fabric to accentuate it.
Amy Atlas would be proud ladies!

Visit Meredith's blog for more gorgeous details...oh, and I didn't mention that she has THREE little boys, one of which is only a few months old. Don't some girls just make you want to puke?
