DIY T-shirts

I'm all about the DIY. Have you noticed?
There are so many things that you can do yourself, that you might not have known that you could do!
For instance, I love custom t-shirts and I love Etsy with all my heart. I could buy Greyson custom t-shirts for every holiday if I didn't have a modicum of self control.

For parties, I think it's always important for the birthday boy/girl to stand out and have their own special outfit for the day.
I am a big devotee of cotton transfer paper. You can buy it at Wal-mart for $5.00 for 3 pieces.
Last year, I made Grant, Greyson's BFF, a Very Hungry Caterpillar t-shirt using cotton transfer paper and my computer. This could not be any easier.
Greyson got a circus t-shirt for his first birthday too!
And this year, Grant is having a Jungle Book party, which is this weekend, and his mom requested a "Man Cub" tee. So, this morning, we spent all of $8.50 on this project.

All you do is make the design on your computer, print it out on the transfer paper, and iron it on!
It really doesn't get any easier than that!

  1. so cute! Gotta LOVE iron on transfer paper!!

  2. I am a HUGE fan of iron on transfer paper myself. It doesn't last through many washes, but is great for a special occasion or holiday where you only need a couple wears out of it.

  3. Hi, thank you for sharing. I posted your tutorial on my blog with a link back to your blog, hope it’s ok
