Grammy's 60th Birthday

My mother-in-law is turning the Big 6-0 next year and she is in the process of planning her birthday party.
When she first asked me for party suggestions, I told her I wanted it to be "The Queen Bee" (her name is Becky), or "Sexy and Sixty." She shot me down on both.

Her birthday is February 13th, so what else would she want but a Valentine's Day inspired party!?
My first idea for her decor was carnation pomanders on tall vases or candlesticks. I thought this could be an inexpensive way to bring in the flowers and color that she wants, without breaking the budget. She also wanted to do wrapped cookies for her favor, and really, there is no one who doesn't like cookies to-go.

So, my suggestions to her were to use several shades of pink and red in her decor.
I also suggested multi-tiered vases filled with candles and conversation hearts--another really inexpensive idea for centerpieces.
Hope you love it Grammy! Can't wait to get started on helping!
