Randomness on a Friday

I got something cute in the mail today! This galvanized bucket with Michael Miller's Rocket Rascals fabric on it! Yay!
I bought 3 yards of this off Etsy, but I also bought this custom bucket for favors from Etsy seller BrodyandMa. (I think it will be for favors. I might change it on the day of the party. I never know how it's going to turn out). She makes all kinds of cute tubs with any fabric you can think of. I think these would make GREAT gifts for showers, etc.

I was feeling like some cupcakes today and so I decided to try a new place, Gigi's Cupcakes. They recently opened a franchise here in Memphis, and OH MY GOD. I die.

Look what awaited me....
Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Tiramisu, and a Kiddie Cake for Grey.
I'm in love.
I also went shopping sans the little one today, and I found these SUPER adorable birds nests for the "Feather Her Nest" Sip 'N See. I am painting all those eggs blue, because I don't want it to look like Easter, yo.

Feather Her Nest!

In the spring, one of my dearest friends, Meredith, is having her THIRD boy!  So, the girlfriends decided that since she has EVERYTHING for boys, that we would do a sip 'n see instead of a traditional shower.  Now, Mere is a fantastic, talented party-planner herself, and she has even been featured on Design Dazzle twice, so we want to blow it out for her, since this is likely her last shower.
She took it upon herself to suggest a "bird" theme, so I think a "Feather Her Nest" theme would be adorable, elegant,  and sweet. This is my inspiration board for it.

It's not until May, so I have lots of time to plan and brainstorm, but I am super excited about this theme! (And especially for Baby Colin to get here!)

{My Parties} Honey-DO Bridal Shower for Couples

Just got home from setting up the "honey-do" shower!
Here are all the details...

I had so much fun with this theme because it is not really every day that you go to Lowe's looking for decor and serving pieces, right?  I got inventive with a lot of home improvement products and I hope you like the outcome!  I decided on royal blue and lime green because the bride's main color is royal blue. But, those colors are also slightly on the man-edge as well. I went with a more outdoor/tools feel, so that it felt like things that you would actually have your "honey" do.

First, I made this wreath with an extension cord, some floral wire, some grosgrain ribbon, and a wreath form. It took over an hour to thread that extension cord through about a jillion times, but the outcome was SO worth it!  Plus, the bride and groom can actually use it after the shower.
This is the beverage station. I used half-poms for the walls to give it a little boost of color and handmade the signs out of scrapbook paper and ribbon.
Astroturf made the cutest "outdoor" look for the table.
I bought cute green and blue shovels and spades at Hobby Lobby, along with these cute terra cotta pots for building up the serving trays.
The favors were small terra cotta pots filled with seedlings of basil, sunflowers, and lilac.
The hostess got mini-cupcakes at Muddy's and I decided to crush up oreos for dirt and line the cupcake stand in grass themed scrapbook paper.
For menu cards, I wanted to do something interesting and fun, so I used the grass-themed scrapbook paper for backgrounds and they were held by empty paint cans filled with colored paper for "paint."
I hung assortments of tools and washers from the chandelier and in person it was very shiny and eye-catching. They kind of fade in pictures.
Thanks so much to my client, Heather, who was so great to work with!
Hope you guys had a BLAST!

Sneak Peeks!

So this weekend is the Honey-Do Shower!  I got crafty and decided to make a sign for the bride and groom for above the buffet table. I think it turned out super cute!  I will have pics on Sunday or Monday of all the details. I think it is going to turn out absolutely adorable. I never thought I could have so much fun at Lowe's!
I also opened the mail box today to find THESE!
BIG, HUGE shout-out to Jeniene at CiaoBambino for making these cupcake toppers and favor tags for Greyson's rocket party. She customized them exactly like I wanted and I am in serious love with them!
They are the perfect details for Greyson's party.
