Winter Cakes

I'm a huge fan of Food Network Magazine. Have you read it? I love it for so many reasons.
In the most recent issue, they have instructions on how to make this PRECIOUS Igloo cake!

The best part about this cake is that is looks so easy that anyone could do it!
And the trees? Ice Cream cones!
This is perfect for those Winter ONEderland parties!

Speaking of winter parties, this igloo cake made me think of one of my baby showers for Grey which was a winter theme, since it was held in January. I loved the idea of turqouise and snowflakes!
Ths fabulous cake was made by Cakes by Mom and Me in West Memphis, Arkansas.
And, it was my favorite flavor---lemon!

Glamorous Casino Party!

I've been working on a new party for the past few weeks and I'm super excited about it! It seems like I always get to do boy parties, but never anything girly! So, my next party is a Glamorous Casino party! This party is for the same client as my original casino party, so she wanted to mix it up this time and do a really girly version! So, Vegas showgirls and damask print inspired our theme this time!
I'm working with some awesome vendors for this one, including Kim at SweetiesbyKim, Nicole at Dough-a-Deer, the lovely AndersRuff ladies, and Laurie at Whimsy Cookie Co. and I can't wait for you to see the results!

{Real Party} All American Round Up!

I love when I come across a party that is totally and amazingly creative and detail oriented. When I saw this All American Round Up party on JC's Loft today, I was instantly blown away by Paula's attention to detail. Plus, I totally love that her business name is inspired by her little guys (me too!).

You're going to love all the special little touches that she added to this party!
Cannot get over those adorable boot favor bags!
This is how you know that this is a real mom planning this party-food that kids love and WANT to eat!
My little munchkin loves some cheetos too!  And, a totally clever menu name!
My favorite detail is that she actually made these little jello jigglers herself in Gerber baby food containers that she had been saving! BRILLIANT.
My other favorite part is this completely out-of-the-box creative cupcake display!  She cut a star from styrofoam and propped it up and pinned the cupcakes to it using toothpicks! WOW. I would have NEVER thought of that. She has a tutorial on how she did it too!
She had these plates personalized on Hallmark.com. SO CUTE!
The centerpiece was toy horses in their little corral!
Now that's the face of a happy birthday boy!

Missing in Action!

Where have I been?
I apologize for the recent lack of posts, but I've been so busy!
I am currently in the process of planning three parties in the next two months....
A Safari themed 1st birthday
A Glamorous Casino 40th Birthday
and my Hamburger Party!

In the middle of all that, a two year old who has recently gone on a nap strike and a bunch of Etsy orders!

I made two adorable new versions of my custom, personalized bow holders for the little ones.
This one for a friend of a friend and a sweet baby named Abby.

And this one for none other than Claudia at TiniPosh. And because those TiniPosh ladies love some bling, I added some special sparkle to this one!  Miss Izabella will be three soon and she's having a Cupcakes and Makeovers party! I want to go to that party!  Thanks Claudia!  Hope you love it--can't wait to see pictures of it at the party!

Then, a sweet reader who saw my Mario Party on Kara's Party Ideas, e-mailed me about making her son some custom favor tags like the ones I did for Tate's party. Thanks Paula!  Send me some pictures of the party. I would love to see it!

And last, but not least, THIS happened. We get snow maybe twice a year! My Keiko was right at home!
That picture is totally deceiving...I could barely get my pregnant self into my ski pants!

It's a Hamburger Party!

After Christmas, for the past few years, I have been immediately planning Greyson's birthday party. His birthday is in the middle of March.
And this year, I wanted a fun, offbeat theme for his 3rd birthday. I was inspired by his ridiculous love of french fries. Really, the child could eat pounds and pounds of them.
But, you can't just have a french fry party and NOT have hamburgers, so I decided on a hamburger and french fry theme!
I've got some awesome collaborations up my sleeve for this one, and I could not be more excited about it.
Can't WAIT to do this one!
