Currently Obsessed With: Ombre

An emerging event trend right now that I am loving is the use of the ombre effect.
I knew I wanted to use this somehow at my Little Pumpkin baptism party, so I incorporated it through the centerpiece and through the backdrop. Either of these looks would also transition easily into a Thanksgiving table.

Ombre lends itself to a variety of different uses.
Ombre can even be seen as a hair trend--as my ridiculously cute sister demonstrates.

I think this look is particularly gorgeous when used in florals!

Two of my favorite party girls, Natalie at The Knock Knock Factory, and Kristy at The Purple Pug, used it gorgeously on this blue boy's party.

The picture that inspired my pumpkin party!

As a child, I was pretty obsessed with color coordinating my crayons, were you?

This backdrop takes my breath away.

I love the use of these simple paper circles as a runner! Creative, clever, and cheap--my favorite combination!

This is absolutely one of the most creative backdrops I have ever seen. Those are clothespins, people.

Of course, my style icon Gwen had an ombre wedding dress years ago. She is always the trendsetter.

Did you just gasp? I did when I saw this!
