This party was a little bit of a departure for me, no pun intended!
This party had the cutest travel theme!
You may remember Jenna from her Hollywood Red Carpet themed party last year.
Well, this year, she went a whole new direction!
This year, Jenna decided to put a spin on the slumber party theme by doing it in a hotel!
So, she wanted to make it like a stay-cation for her guests.
Even though they were staying right here in Memphis, they could feel like they were traveling for the night.
The first thing we did is pick out a boarding pass invitation. Creatif Designs 4 You was kind enough to customize her boarding pass invitation for us in the colors of the party, which were pink and purple.
The first stop on their travels was afternoon swimming at the Embassy Suites.
Then, the girls went back to their room to dress for dinner.
The next stop was dinner at our local Ruth's Chris Steak House.
I apologize in advance for these pictures, but if you've ever been in a Ruth's Chris, you know how dark it is in there!
I incorporated suitcases a lot in this design, to make the girls feel as if they were traveling.
The cake was designed to look like a suitcase and a cosmetic bag.
I got this cute stand for it at HomeGoods. You want to know what it actually is?
A bathroom trash can! I spray painted it purple and turned it over to hold the cake. I like that it doesn't take up much visual space on the table.
The table had a pink polka got runner that I made from fabric I picked up at Hancock. Then, I got pink and purple flower chargers from Michael's to dress up the table.
The beautiful floral centerpieces were displayed in suitcases that I picked up at Tuesday Morning. The purple one was a perfect find, but I simply painted the pink one! It had a weird design on it, but that's nothing that a little spray paint didn't fix.
I wish I had smell-o-vision on my blog because L & Jay Productions really knocked it out of the park on these arrangements. They smelled amazing, and looked even better.
While the girls were at dinner, I went back to their hotel room and set up a little late-night snack station.
Again, hotel rooms don't have the best lighting! Ha!
This was a challenge because I needed to make everything either disposable or easy to take home for the birthday mom!
So, I started with pink polka dot party supplies from my friends at Birthday Express. They matched my fabric runner perfectly, which continued the theme into the second part of the party.
I made this simple banner on my Silhouette with some glitter cardstock.
I found this awesome pink suitcase on clearance at Hobby Lobby and I had to have it. It was the perfect little display piece for our late night Chex Mix.
To make the bottled waters a little more glamorous, I removed the labels and added pink glittered duct tape. I taped some pink and white polka dot straws to the side.
Another fun late night snack was Donette skewers. Who doesn't like Donettes?
I got this cute little globe at Tuesday Morning and it was black and tan. I took it apart and painted it hot pink. When I reassembled it, I added Jenna's name in vinyl. This is something she can keep in her room too!
I found these adorable suitcases at Target! Score! They are in the kid's bedding and organization section in several different designs.
I added a variety of sample sized spa products from Ulta, Bath and Body Works, and Target, all in pink and purple.
What little girl wouldn't be in heaven? I wanted one for me!
The final touch was small Thank You tags that I cut with my Silhouette.
Bon Voyage and Happy Birthday Jenna!
