It's a Rock Star Party!
When Tricia at Simply Delicious Catering contacted me about helping her make this party cute for a friend, I immediately knew what I wanted to do with this theme!
What's cuter than a baby rock star party?
I started with a stage backdrop which I made with black and hot pink sequined fabric. I pulled the pink fabric back with silver twine to make it look like stage curtains. .
I made an old record into the O in the One. Then, I used wooden letters for the N and the E, which I then painted and glittered
The client's home had a beautiful mirrored buffet which was the perfect place to set up the sweets buffet
Tricia ordered these adorable microphone cupcakes, baked into pink ice cream cones.
Aren't they adorable?
They were a booger to keep upright! I bought these cute pink boxes at Hobby Lobby to display them.
To display the cookies, I used my acrylic risers, which I covered in a silver chain ribbon. Then, I topped them with silver chargers. They really look like embellishments that you might find on rock star's stage clothes!
Aren't these cookies by Sprinkles and Cream cute??
Baby Gia had a smash cake, of course, so I wanted to make a super cute stand for it. So, I made two hat boxes into drums using glittered card stock and some silver twine. I love how it looks likes a bunch of stacked drums.
The Born To Rock embellishment was leftover from a party earlier this year and it was created by Ten23 Designs. I love when I am able to reuse party supplies!
For the front of the display, I made this cute banner with glittered card stock and some wooden letters and music notes.
Simply Delicious did some super cute food items for this party, including "drum sticks" and "rock candy."
I love doing these KitKat pianos for music themed parties. I did a cake using this idea on another party. I was a little short on brown kit kats this time, but it still gave the idea I was going for!
And, since we are in Memphis, of course, Tricia did an homage to Elvis with Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches cut into star shapes!
Katie at Celebration Lane made these cute bottle wraps and menu cards for me. She also did an awesome menu for the salad bar!
For the favor station, the party-mommy put together these super cute little pails that she got from the Target dollar spot. She filled them with sunglasses, microphones, and beads.
These backstage passes were displayed on stands I found at Tuesday Morning. They had a bird on top and they were white, but I painted them silver and then added these stars that I cut on my Silhouette.
Later in the party, the birthday girl's older twin brothers did a rocking Elvis song!
How cute is this family?
