"Masquerade....paper faces on parade!"
I couldn't stop playing that song in my head for the past month!
I love Phantom!
When my client, Sheila, contacted me about doing an 18th birthday party for her twin granddaughters, I loved the idea that they already had a theme and a color scheme in mind.
It totally helped that the girls chose a bright and playful palette, which gave me room to really play with this, without doing the traditional Mardi Gras color scheme.
I decided to go extra sparkly and girly, since these gorgeous girls were turning 18. I don't get a chance to do many teenage girl parties, so I loved going all out on the glitter on this one!

I started out with this gorgeous gold floral sheeting from Shindigz.  Floral sheeting is used a lot on parade floats because the texture is great. I want to use it at every party because it gives an awesome shine and texture for the backdrop.
I got these purple and black harlequin linens from Classic Party Rentals. They were the perfect pattern and color combination for this party!
I added these super sparkly purple and pink fans from Koyal Wholesale and strung them with clear craft lacing, so that they seemed to be floating.
Since the party was for twins, I wanted to personalize it for them by adding some oversized glittered letters for them in their initials; an L for Lawrie, and a C for Celine.

The cake was a stunner, done by Mad Lily Cakery, Melanie added a mask to the top and I added some additional ostrich feathers on top for height.

Autumn Lynn's Chocolate Sins did these beautiful cake pops for me, with added chocolate masks.
I displayed them and the cookies in hat boxes that I customized with glittered cardstock, masks, and feather trim.

These gorgeous cookies by Whimsy Cookie Co. had to be put on sticks!
They looked like the perfect masks!
I put the hat boxes on these gold cake stands that I got at Home Goods.

I suggested that the girls do these sparkly mask keychains from Shindigz for their favors. I thought it was something that their guests could use for a long time.

I called the always awesome Simply Delicious Catering as soon as I booked this event.
I knew they could really elevate this menu and do an awesome display for me.
And they did not disappoint. This is not your regular chocolate fountain!
Simply Delicious brought in Dinstuhl's Chocolate to supply this fountain. Dinstuhl's is a Memphis institution and they make absolutely delicious candy.

Simply Delicious brought in marshmallows, rice krispie treats, strawberries, pretzel rods, and even mini cheesecake bites for the kids to dip. And the kids LOVED it!

For the savory buffet, Sheila wanted something easy and teenager-friendly, so we went with a French fry and chicken tenders bar.
The fries were served in adorable little cones and the kids had their choice of tons of dipping sauces like ketchup, white cheddar sauce, honey mustard, and BBQ ranch.

I also hung some of the fans around the entrance of the clubhouse, and in front of the DJ to give some visual interest to the ceiling

For the centerpieces, I did several different things. Two were these glittered boxes, stuffed with gold Christmas decor that I got on clearance at Hobby  Lobby, ostrich feathers, feathered balls, and masks.

The second version was a chipboard mannequin bust which I painted black. Then I fashioned these dresses from feathers, leftover floral sheeting, and some harlequin ribbon. Then I added some masks to the top.
The third version was a cylindrical glittered hat box with these feather balls and a mask on top.

To keep the kids busy, we rented a photo booth. I made all these cute props on my Silhouette.
The girls made some special requests on what they wanted. We, of course, added some feather boas too!
I think the boys were the first group to jump in there!
The guests all did a huge group shot at the end too!

Look at these beautiful twins! They were such a pleasure to work with!
And I was so happy to be able to make their 18th birthday party special!
Happy Birthday Lawrie and Celine!
