{My Parties} Soccer Party

#soccerparty #soccer #teamparty #greygreydesigns #birthdayexpress

Game Time!
I'm excited to share this party that I styled a few months ago for Birthday Express. If you missed it on their Ideas blog, you can see it here.
My family is a soccer family. My husband played in college and he is already instilling the love of The Beautiful Game into our 7 and 4 year old boys.
So, I know a lot about soccer!
I love this cute collection from Birthday Express and I knew I wanted to do the party in front of a real soccer goal. There happens to be a huge park down the street from my house with awesome turf fields and huge goals.
So, I set up the party there!
This is a great party theme for a child, or for your whole team!
Imagine throwing this party for your team to celebrate the end of the season! How cute would that be?
I kept it simple on the table, using a black tablecloth and then some classic paper chains on the front.
I hung these super cute soccer ball lanterns from the goal nets to give visual interest.

I concentrated on the hexagon and octagon shapes of soccer balls with my serving pieces.
I found these cute white hexagon pieces and this geometric white basket at the craft store.
I used them to hold the cakes and cupcakes.

These cookies from Flourish Sweet Shop are the perfect addition to the table. I used black and white Sixlets under the cookies for extra contrast.

A fun snack to add to any soccer party is "yellow cards." I made mine by using rectangular marshmallows dipped in yellow melting chocolates and then adding yellow sprinkles.

I had some fun with these water bottles, by adding soccer socks to them and then adding these cute soccer ball whistles.

The soccer shoes were cut on my die-cut machine. I simply glued a toothpick on the back to make them cupcake toppers.

I also cut a soccer player from my die-cut machine for a cake topper. I used a soccer bouncy ball to make it look more three dimensional. This cake is simple cookies and cream cake that was store-bought. I dressed it up by using yellow gumballs at the base.

As you can see, my little guy loved the soccer cookies!

A very cool detail at this party was the personalized plates. You can add your child (or your team's) picture to the plates, which makes it so special for the birthday boy or girl! My guy loved seeing his picture on the plates!

My very favorite detail is this amazing cookie banner! Flourish Sweet Shop absolutely blew my mind by sending me this amazing banner made of cookies.
 I love it so much!
It is the perfect addition to the front of the  geometric basket that I used as a cake stand.

This is the face of a guy who LOVES having soccer parties!
