{My Parties} Backyard Fiesta Concert

There is just no theme that is as fun as a Fiesta theme!
With Cinco de Mayo approaching quickly, I thought this was the perfect time to share a beautiful fiesta party that I designed back in the fall.
You're going to LOVE it!

When I found out that my client wanted this theme, I went CRAZY with color!
Even hanging these amazing ribbon branches from the gorgeous trees in their backyard. My friends at L & Jay Productions made this crazy dream come true for me. I love the fun pops of unexpected color all over the backyard! We had a few of these in the front yard too, to welcome the guests.

Since this was a concert for friends and family, we set up a concert tent out in the backyard with a clear top. We did a lot of fun, small seating vignettes scattered all over the yard to create romantic little areas for conversation. And we kept most of the table seating under the tent.

I love all these vintage rentals from PropCellar, including these fun peacock chairs. I love a peacock chair!
Underneath the tent, I added small table seating and these gorgeous caffe colored linens and Tuscan chairs from White Door Events. I love this juxtaposition of neutral, earth elements with the bright, bold colors! The table runners were from Amols Fiesta.

Inside the tent, I had a vision of papel picado everywhere! It really brought the eye up to the inside of the tent, combined with this string lighting! The lucky guests were treated to a private concert by Robert Randolph and the Family Band!

All the centerpieces were a little different, but they all had a fresh, market feeling with terra cotta pots, and fresh fruit, and of course, mini pinatas!

Underneath the client's covered porch, we hung these huge crepe streamers and some hanging florals to give it a mercado feel.

This area was also where we had our live Ceviche Station!
The amazing caterer, Simply Delicious Caterings, always brings fun ideas to our parties and this was no exception!

Every good party needs a bar! I did two different bar areas at this party, both with these cool galvanized bars from White Door Events. I painted each sign myself, with fun fiesta sayings.

But the piece d'resistance was this amazing floral backdrop from Paper and Peony. I mean, stunners!

The second bar was underneath the tent and I decorated it with another cute sign and some oversized pinatas.

I can't leave out these gorgeous pictures of the florals!

You can't have a fiesta without Sangria! We had a choice of two; red and white. Our sangria station was decorated with the big crepe streamers and oversized mylar balloons that spelled "Ole!"

Out in the yard, we stationed our "Taco Tent!" It was filled with handmade tacos, a live guacamole station (my favorite part) and a huge, overflowing chips and dip station!
Shout out to Beth Kruse Custom Creations for these awesome printable menu signs!

I made this Tacos Y'all sign on my Silhouette. That was a lot of weeding, lemme tell you!

These tacos were some of the best EVER! And because Simply Delicious never misses a beat, I love these adorable corn husk serving boats!

Love this detail of the limes underneath the tabletop!

Inside the house, the food was just as fun and over the top!
We had a live rolling senorita table!  Much love to my sister Lyndsay, queen of the costumes, for creating this awesome costume for Laura, our senorita!

Senorita's table had a variety of Mexican inspired dishes, including layered dip, tortas, and fruit cups!

On another of the stations, we had shrimp, chicken skewers, and a variety of Mexican cheeses.

And, on the off chance that anyone was still hungry, we added butlered appetizers like tamales, tostadas, and elote!

And, to finish the night off on a sweet note, there were passed paletas and churros!

And then, it was party time!!

Special thanks to the always amazing Creation Studios Memphis for their eye-poppingly gorgeous photos of this fun event!
