What fun plans do you have for this summer?
Usually summer means one thing....BEACH!
My family is headed on a Disney cruise, so we are counting down the days until we can see those crystal blue Caribbean waters!
If you are looking to host a party this summer (and I'm sure you are!) Evite has got you covered with a ton of cute new Evites for your summer entertaining!
Evite asked me to look over their new line of invitations and use one of them to inspire a fun party idea that you can replicate at home!
I was immediately drawn to this beautiful sandcastle themed invitation.
This invitation could be used for a variety of fun parties, from a little girl's birthday to a fun couple's night!
I took the idea of this sandcastle "cake" and turned it into a centerpiece!
Here's what you are going to need:
4-6 pieces 12x12 sand themed cardstock
2 chipboard Hat boxes, one large and one small.
2 striped straws
1 sheet ocean themed scrapbook embellishments
Colored bunting (or you can make your own by cutting patterned paper)
Blue ruffled trim
Hot Glue Gun
It's as easy as covering the two boxes with scrapbook paper using hot glue to adhere the paper to the box. Once you have both boxes covered, then glue the blue ribbon trim around the outsides of the lids.
Stack the boxes in the shape of a cake.
Add scrapbook embellishments around the bottoms of the boxes.
Glue two striped straws to the top of the smaller hatbox.
Thread buntings on thin ribbon or fishing wire. Attach each end to one end of the straws.
Add to a cake stand of your choice, and voila!
The best part of this project is that it's fully customizable for your party! Add starfish if you love those, or even fun beach balls for a kid's party! Making it personal is easy, just like Evite!
