{My Parties} Winter Woodsy Rehearsal Dinner

I can't believe it's been a year since this couple tied the knot! And that it took me an entire year to blog about it!
I love this family and I was so happy to help them with this beautiful rehearsal dinner.
When my client Cathleen, called me about designing her son's rehearsal dinner, I absolutely loved her idea of making it winter themed. The bride and groom love to be outside, so we focused on making it woodsy and warm for them, even in the middle of winter.

Guests were greeted at the door of the beautiful Sara's Place at Memphis Botanic Gardens by this lush wreaths by Deedra Stone Designs.

Upon entering, our escort card table greeted the guests with a large floral arrangements and a cream crinkle linen.

One of the most beautiful parts of this venue is this gorgeous slatted wall with the vine growing into it. It worked perfectly with our theme.

To warm up the space and to make it look less like a wedding and more like a rehearsal dinner, I chose a mix of round tables with linens and dark wooden chairs and long wooden farm tables from White Door Events. I added some soft amber uplighting around the room, along with market lights strung from the ceiling.

We also hung votives in the branches of the vine in the wall.

Each table had beautiful place settings with custom napkins folds to accommodate the custom menus for the event.

The centerpieces incorporated winter berries, roses, hydrangeas, dusty millers, and branches. Deedra also added lots of mixed metals into the candles and the containers.

I added some of the couple's favorite photos to the bar area.

And because this is a real event, here are some pictures of the guests enjoying themselves!

Speeches are always my favorite part of a rehearsal dinner!

Happy 1 year anniversary Mary Alice and John!

And thanks again to my clients, Cathleen and Jim for always trusting me with their family's celebrations!
