Madison and Herbie's Springtime Garden Wedding

It's wintertime, so let's talk about a warm springtime wedding!
This gorgeous wedding was for a lovely, sweet family that I have known for a while. The bride's mom was my realtor when I bought my house 8 years ago!
So, it was so fun to work with her again on this gorgeous day for her oldest daughter.
Madison, the bride, was inspired by the 2016 Pantone colors of the year; Serenity and Rose Quartz.
She wanted a soft palette for her spring day, and I loved that! We paired this color duo with gold tones to warm the entire design.
I think you can really see that inspiration in my design for her.

It was a gorgeous April day, with NO April showers!

This sweet moment with mom and daughter is always a favorite of mine.

The floral design is by Deedra Stone Designs and I adore this soft, loose bouquets filled with roses, anenomes, and greenery. They bounce off the Serenity blue dresses so beautifully.

Madison's bouquet was filled with gorgeous peonies, pink and blush roses, and it was so perfect.

Look at sweet dad! I love these moments, captured so beautifully by Grace Starr Photography.

The trend of bridesmaid dresses in all different styles is one I love, because that way all your bridesmaids can feel comfortable in a style that flatters them.

Such a beautiful bridal party, right?

Madison and Herbie were married in her family's church and since it is very large, we had to have a big "wow" moment for their altarpiece. Madison sent me her inspiration for the altar and I loved it. Deedra Stone made it even more beautiful than the inspiration photo!

I loved the grey suits because it just suited the softer palette. Black would have been so harsh up next to the pink and blue.

I'm just going to spam this post with tons of portraits because I can't get over how gorgeous they are.

When the guests arrived at the reception at Hardin Hall at Memphis Botanic Gardens, they signed in on a canvas of their engagement photos that we used as a guest book. This is the perfect keepsake for the new couple's home.

My friends at Shindigz provided us with so many fun items for this wedding, including this fun sign with the couple's hashtag.

For the linens, I chose a very soft pink. I didn't want to overwhelm the room with a brighter pink. It's really more of a blush. I wanted to also play off the blue of the cloud ceiling, which was the perfect addition to our color palette.

Deedra Stone did three different floral arrangements for our tables, with a very tall, loose garden arrangement, a smaller arrangement, and some tables with a metallic lantern and greenery.

For the cake table, I always love having a WOW moment. When I saw these doors at White Door Events, I knew that they would be a perfect backdrop for a cake. When the guests entered, they had a direct sight line to the cake, so I wanted it to be an eye-catcher. Deedra's team added florals dripping off the top to really frame the cake.
The tablecloth is a gorgeous blush and cream brocade.
The beautiful cake is a simple design, with vertical grooves in the icing treatment. The topper and garden florals dressed it up so beautifully.

The custom watercolor napkins and donut bags are from For Your Party.

Guests were invited to use the outdoor space at Memphis Botanic Garden by playing these custom cornhole boards that I had made at Shindigz. The bride and groom can keep these forever!

Madison had a special request for the groom's cake area. Madison LOVES watermelon donuts from Gibson's Donuts here in Memphis and Herbie doesn't really like cake all that much, but he LOVES cookies. Madison had to have these watermelon donuts, so I custom ordered them for her. to display them, we did a donut wall with warm cookies delivered by Insomnia Cookies at just the right time! These cookies and donuts got outta there FAST!

I created a custom donut wall with some pegboard and my Cricut and light pink vinyl.

Not a cake taste, but a DONUT taste!

You know it's a fun wedding when the girls have their shoes off!

After a rose petal exit, our bride and groom were off to their honeymoon!

And just a few more of those portraits because they are just swoon-worthy.
