Are your
kids into Five Nights at Freddy’s? Five Nights at Freddy’s is a game that kids
can play on their iPads. The premise is that the animatronics from a pizza
place come alive after dark and try to scare the night watchman. I knew that
this was the perfect theme for my 7 year old’s party this year because it is
literally all he talks about these days! He even draws the characters when he
is not playing the game.

Five Nights
at Freddy’s has a lot of black and white checkered details, so that was the
main inspiration for my party. You can make your own black and white checkered
backdrop using a foam backdrop (I use construction insulation foam) and
covering it with black and white checkered paper. Add some letter balloons in
spray painted colors to match your party theme. I used “Let’s Party” because
one of the characters (Chica) has that on her bib. Add your own DIY balloon
garland using balloon tape and latex balloons in all colors! Don’t forget to
use 5” and 11” inch balloons for texture and depth.

Around the
front of the table, use this adhesive foil fringe table skirt. It sticks right
to your table and removes with ease. On the front, I used a pizza garland that
I made for a pizza themed party a few years ago, to bring in Freddie Fazbear’s
Pizza Palace. Pizza Slice mylar balloons are the perfect way to mark the
birthday boy’s chair too!

To set up your FNAF party table, use a simple cupcake stand and top it with a plastic top hat, just like Freddy’s hat. I added red duct tape to make it look just like his hat. I asked my friends at Smallcakes to make some cupcakes that look like Carl the Cupcake. The kids loved these and they made my birthday boy VERY happy.

I designed
these favor boxes using the Create-A-Favor box option on Shindigz.com. I chose a black and white checkered
background and even customized the colors of my text. I added some graphics of
a balloon (like Balloon Boy), and a top hat (like Freddy). Fill them with lots
of fun stuff for the kids like bookmarks, stickers, bouncy balls, Tootsie pops,
and gummy pizzas. Don’t forget the foil shred to fill them up. The favor boxes
were also great for the kids to take home any prizes from the games. I also created my own candy bar wrappers for
the kids to take home. I called these Chica’s Chocolate.

To really
give your party ambience, add fun window clings and signage. These Freddy
window posters were perfect for our party. Since this was a pool party, I
wanted the kids to know where the bathroom was, so I just wrote it on a FNAF
jointed cut out. I used the FNAF cutouts to add extra decoration to the table,
as well as some pirate hooks for Foxy’s hook.

Every good
party needs fun games and I am going to show you three different fun options.
The first game was called Foxy’s ring toss. I used those same pirate hooks and
black checkered paper to make my own game for the kids. I used a big piece of
cardboard and then covered it with black and white checkered paper. Then I hot
glued the pirate hooks to it. The kids were able to throw rings at the hooks.

The second game was a prize punch. Lachlan was SO excited for this one because it had his name on it. It’s easy to assemble and the kids had so much fun with it. I filled each hole with cute candies and toys from the dollar store.

Our third game was the plastic wrap game. I wrapped up a ton of treats and toys and candy in a huge ball of saran wrap and each kid had 8 seconds to unwrap it as fast as they could to get a prize. It’s a super easy game and the kids loved it!

And lastly, it was time for the pool. And what’s a pizza party without a big old pizza float?
