About Brittany

Hi!  I'm Brittany, owner of GreyGrey Designs. I have always been a creative person, the gene seems to run in my family. I have been in the event business since I was 17 years old, starting out working for a caterer, who also was my next door neighbor at the time. I developed my love of the event industry right then and there. After graduating from the University of Memphis (Go Tigers Go!) with an Art History degree (and many people saying..."WHAT are you going to do with THAT DEGREE?"), I worked for the catering department at the University of Memphis, as their Catering Director, then moved on to Catering Manager for Colonial Country Club, then to General Manager of Esplanade Memphis, all the while privately coordinating weddings and events for friends and family.
My life changed in the spring of 2008 when I gave birth to my son Greyson. Greyson was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis at three months of age when he developed epilepsy. His condition requires that I stay home with him, which means that I need a creative outlet in the worst way. GreyGrey Designs is that brainchild. I can easily work on my parties during the week when I am home with him, then on Saturdays, when most parties are held, I have free babysitting from my handsome hubby!

I love parties, especially theme parties and my mission is to make them fun, over-the-top, stress-free, and most of all affordable. I still love weddings, but now my focus is on in-home parties, children's events, and showers of all kinds. They are just more fun and intimate at home!

My husband Ryan and I love to entertain, coming up with any excuse to throw a party, our friends, our huge family,  decorating our house, good food, travel, Italy, Sunday afternoon movies, pajamas, our insanely huge Great Dane, Dr. Pepper, and especially Mr. GreyGrey and his wild-man brother, Lachlan.

If you are local in the Memphis area, contact me for a quote on your next party.
If you are not local, I can still help you out with an inspiration board and party idea proposal!
I hope you enjoy the blog and it inspires you to have your own great parties
